Threaded Prewinder Tool for 5/16-24 LH Helical Inserts

Product Specs:

Use with Internal Thread Size: 5/16-24 UNF, Left Hand
For use with: Free Running & Screw Locking Inserts
Material: Carbon Steel
Compatible with: Helicoil, Recoil and any other standard Helical Screw Thread Inserts

Our Prewinder Tools make quick work of large volume installations. The Prewinder temporarily reduces the diameter of the insert by compression so that it will install easily into the tapped hole. As the insert leaves the Prewinder and enters the tapped hole, it is prewound and in the correct lead and pitch to facilitate a smooth installation.

Threaded Mandrel Prewinders are especially recommended for the successful installation of screw locking inserts and free running inserts having a fine thread pitch.

Unlike our competition, both the Mandrel and the Prewinder portions of the tool are made from Carbon Steel - built to stand the test of time and power through your toughest jobs. Proudly made in the USA.
