Description:

Key Locking Thread Inserts are an ideal solution to repair stripped, damaged and worn threads or to provide thread reinforcement in a weaker parent material, especially when the mating stud or bolt will be removed frequently. They provide strong, permanent threads in virtually any material - ferrous, non-ferrous, or non-metallic. The insert's locking keys are driven down into the tapped threads of the parent material during installation creating a positive mechanical lock that prevents rotation due to vibration or torsion. Their external thread design provide maximum pull-out strength with a minimal outside diameter.

In addition to the external locking keys, internal locking inserts have a swaged in groove to produce an internal thread lock eliminating the need for other thread locking devices. Inserts with this feature are designed to securely lock a bolt within only a few turns.

Can be used in most materials...aluminum, magnesium, cast iron, carbon steel, stainless steel and plastic.
Simple installation compared to helical wire inserts.
Nearly impossible for the insert to turn after installation.
Nearly impossible to cross thread while installing.
Adhesive not required to hold insert in place.
Rarely affected by hot or cold temperatures because it is held in place mechanically.
Easy to remove.
