Features:

Thread Forming Grease Fittings are also known as Self Tapping or Spin Drive Grease Fittings. They have special tapered drive threads for fast and economical production line installation. Their special hardened threads allow the fitting to be screwed into a drilled hole, eliminating the need to tap. A leakproof and permanent seal is formed because the installation force causes the material of the untapped hole to reshape conforming to the fitting's own thread design.

Pro Tips:

Avoid chamfering the hole as a sharp edge helps the thread bite.
Use in heat-treated parts is not recommended.
Thread Forming fittings may be replaced by a 1/8-27 PTF tapered thread fitting or by another thread forming fitting because it can realign damaged threads in an existing hole.
