They're commonly found in the automotive, marine and agricultural industries, on industrial machinery, lawn & garden equipment, recreational vehicles, bearings, axles, motors, drives and chains.

PTF Threads are more formally known as Dryseal American Standard Taper Pipe Threads; featuring a 1.8° tapered thread, self sealing design and a 60° thread form. This thread type is most often used on heavy machinery in the construction and agricultural industries. PTF Threads can be mated with NPT or NPTF threaded holes.
