The Metric Screw Checker is a precision threaded tool for complete instant identification of Metric Screws. This quality tool made of heavy-gauge steel is satin-chrome plated, expertly machined & threaded, and American made!

This tool will check screw sizes ranging from 8mm through 14mm in the I.S.O. pitches. It will identify diameter, pitch, length, tap series and drill size. As an added benefit, this tool can be used to straighten bent screws and clean up dirty or rusty threads. Measures approximately 4” x 5” and 3/32” thick.

Fervent DIYer

This (and its smaller brethren) are among the most vital tools that I own. Because UTS machine screw thread pitch is expressed in threads-per-inch, whereas ISO screws go by millimeters-per-thread, you can't determine the true identity of an unknown machine screw without accurately defining shaft diameter and thread pitch. This is what you need for the larger (= 8mm) sized ISO screws.

Another Excellent "Check'r"

Like the smaller gauge, this one is also excellent and heavy duty. Again, what more can I say, other than it's made in the U.S.A. which makes me happy.

Retired (and happy at it)

Metric Screw Checker: Large

As with the Metric Screw Checker: Small, this is a very well made tool. It has a good variety of thread pitch for each size screw or bolt. I highly recommend this tool.
