Description:

Key Locking Thread Inserts are an ideal solution to repair stripped, damaged and worn threads or to provide thread reinforcement in a weaker parent material, especially when the mating stud or bolt will be removed frequently. They provide strong, permanent threads in virtually any material - ferrous, non-ferrous, or non-metallic. The insert's locking keys are driven down into the tapped threads of the parent material during installation creating a positive mechanical lock that prevents rotation due to vibration or torsion.

The increased wall thickness and greater external thread area of these Extra Heavy Duty Threaded Inserts offer superior pull-out strength, stability, and longer life. These inserts should be used in materials with lower ultimate shear strength to obtain maximum pull-out strength and holding power.

Features:

Only Standard Drill and Tap required.
Can be used in most materials...aluminum, magnesium, cast iron, carbon steel, stainless steel and plastic.
Simple installation compared to helical wire inserts.
Nearly impossible for the insert to turn after installation.
Nearly impossible to cross thread while installing.
Adhesive not required to hold insert in place.
Rarely affected by hot or cold temperatures because it is held in place mechanically.
Easy to remove.
