Thread I.D.® Tool: Quickly Identify Nuts, Bolts and Threaded Holes!
If your profession or hobby requires you to work with very small fasteners, the Thread I.D. Tool is a must-have for your toolbox! We all know it's difficult enough to determine correct thread pitch and diameter of larger nuts and bolts without the proper tool...when you are dealing with sizes such as #1 in Standard or M1.6 in Metric, the difficulty level increases significantly.
The Thread
I.D. has a plate tapped for 10 National Coarse sizes (1-64 to 1/4-20),
10 National Fine sizes (1-72 to 1/4-28) and 8 Metric Coarse sizes (M1.6 x .35 to M6 x 1). Each type is color coded for easy identification.
The tool comes with knurled-head bolts in all 28 sizes. When engaged in the plate, the studs can be used for nut sizing and
identification.
When removed, the plate can be used for the identification of unknown bolt sizes and the studs can be used to identify the thread of fixed-position tapped holes. This feature is invaluable when a bolt has been lost and the only
way to determine thread size is to identify the thread of the tapped hole in
the item it came from.
The tool comes in a fitted wooden box to protect your investment when not in use. Thread I.D. Size Specifications:
